Are we in the sh*t? New VAT Regulations.

Filed under: Announcements — Tags: — upsmart @ 6:53 pm

As of 1 December the Darling Chancellor has announced that VAT will be cut from 17.5% to 15%. It seems the economy is in more dire straits than we at first feared. We all heard the rumours but it does seem like a bit like panic to us. However, we at UPSMart have always maintained:

Don’t skimp on power protection, just change your provider

We offer full power protection solutions at dealer prices. We’re specialists in online double conversion technology, and if you want full power protection that’s just what you get.

Anyway, back to the VAT, tomorrow we’ll be making the changes so if you’re a VAT payer you’ll find our prices just got even better.

  1. Actually, we still need to charge VAT at 17.5% until 1 December, but we’ll do the maths when we charge your card so that you pay the equivalent of 15% VAT

  2. And for those of you keen to know, we’ll take the product price, multiply it by 46 and then divide by 47. VAT is then added at 17.5%, which will be the same as adding 15% to the normal price. Just so everybody knows, this is a saving on the product price for a limited time!
